Wannie Huffman

Wannie Huffman, 93, of Sanford passed away April 14, 2016 in Lake Mary, Florida. She was born in Palm Harbor, Florida on March 27, 1923, to the late Donald Lee and Eula “Harper” Lee.

Wannie was a Registered Nurse, and worked in various hospitals in the Southeast before marrying Chuck Huffman. After marrying Chuck, she moved to Indiana. In 1969, Wannie moved to Sanford, Florida where she has been a resident ever since. Wannie was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church for 47 years where she was a very active member, and loved to sing in the choir.

Wannie was preceded in death by her sister- Betty Churms and her brother Donald Lee. She is  survived by her children - Brian Huffman of Leesburg and Mary Poore of Deltona; grandchildren - Daniel (Mary C), Chris, Brian Jr., Beth and Beverly; great-grandchildren - Daniel Jr., Layla and Will; sisters - Maxine Bozzi, Vivian Kittiko and Marcia Tennant; brother - William Lee; sister-in-law- Mary Jean Petranoff of Indiana; and 18 nieces and nephews.

The Family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Wednesday, April 20th, at WALDON Funeral Home which is located at 710 Lexington Green Lane in Sanford, Florida 32771.

The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 21st, at the Grace United Methodist Church in Lake Mary. A reception will be held after the service, and the burial will follow at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
