I must say we were treated very professional and respectful. Waldon went beyond our expectations. Waldon accommodated our short widow for the memorial of our loved one. The facility was clean, they provided a gift that turned out very nice. I especially appreciate not being nickeled and dime like other facilities. What was quoted on the phone was what the actual cost was for their services, “no hidden cost”. They even supplied refreshments and other things, this was a nice unexpected touch. The rendition performed by the Waldon sisters was so moving and powerful. Thanks to all of you, I had a wonderful opportunity to witness a great collaborative partnership at work between Waldon Professional Funeral & Cremation Services, LLC, the Florida Bank of Commerce, and the African American Chamber of Commerce of Central Florida (AACCCF) during the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony held in Sanford last evening. It was magnificently organized, very informative, hospitality at its best, and a great opportunity for networking. February 25, 2012, was the most traumatic day of my life. You see, I lost a very loving person...my soul mate, Herald Waldon, Jr.. It was a death that I did not see coming, however, God does not do things and not have the whole situation planned out. Of course, when one experience such a traumatic loss, you need to be surrounded with people who care and are compassionate towards the suffering family members. Well, one of the individuals in my case was our niece, Kristy Marie Waldon, a licensed and professional mortician.She was there for me as a professional and also as a family member. I expressed to her what I wanted and she executed it with love, dignity, and respect. My family and I were spoken to with kind words...the compassion in her eyes showed throughout the arrangement sessions. One thing that stuck with me about Kristy was when it was time to choose a casket and I told her, "Oh, Kristy, I can't shop for a casket". She said to me "Auntie, I can show you some caskets on-line." And I remembered her pulling one up but before she showed me the casket, she took the time to ask "are you ready to see it, Auntie?" This is the kind of compassion you need in your time of need. The tenderheartedness that she shows during your time of loss speaks volume, and it shows that she is a child of God and was chosen by Him for this profession. She has you, the hurting at heart, in mind during this time. She listens and also encourages you in the Lord. So, if you want someone with much compassion who treats everyone with great care, then do not hesitate to entrust your loved one to WALDON Professional Funeral & Cremation Services and your loved one and you will be served with dignity and compassion.

It was in October 2012 when I really saw Kristy Waldon's handiwork on my husband - at that time she was employed by Baldwin-Fairchild. The work was amazing and professional, and I do believe that her handiwork was done with compassion for the family. I believe that compassion, accountability, courage, and trust are her main focus in ensuring that the family is pleased, for the final view is so important. I would recommend Kristy to anyone looking for funeral services.

I entrusted Waldon Funeral Home with the final arrangements for my beloved mother. I worked through the pre-need arrangements with Kristy, and then Mom passed just a few weeks later. Kristy and Jacqueline were wonderful through this entire process. I especially appreciated knowing that Mom was being handled in a personal, loving, caring, respectful and Christian manner. Waldon may be a small funeral home, but both Mom and I got the personal attention that I needed at such an emotionally overwhelming time.
