Annie Lee
Harris
Mar 6, 1953 — Jan 7, 2026
Annie Lee Harris, age 72, lived in Orlando, Florida.
She passed away on January 7, 2026. Annie was born to the union of Lee Roy Burrage and Odie Mae Burrage on March 06, 1953, in Kemper County, Mississippi. She was the fourth child born to this union. Born with a gentle spirit and a steadfast heart, Annie found God at an early age under the leadership of Pastor White. Her faith remained the foundation of her life, guiding her actions, her compassion, and her unwavering devotion to those she loved.
Annie was known for her honesty, her directness, and her deep commitment to caring for others.
Family was her greatest joy. She delighted in puzzles, interactive games such as spades, bingo, monopoly go, cooking, and spending countless hours talking and laughing on FaceTime with her sister/best friend Betty, as well as her beloved great niece and nephews.
Her visits home to Chicago were always filled with reconnection and love, especially with her cherished childhood friends Elsa and Gail.
In Florida, Annie shared a special bond with her godson, Mekhi Watson Bright, whom she loved as if he were her own. Her presence in his life-and in the lives of so many others-was a gift marked by kindness, loyalty, and genuine affection.
Annie is preceded in death by her father, Lee Roy Burrage; sisters Margaret (James)Turner and Patricia A Burrage-Adoukonou (Hector); and brothers Benjamin and Billy Burrage.
She leaves to honor and cherish her memory: her mother, Odie Mae Burrage; sisters Lillie Jean Burrage (Job Thompson, deceased), Barbara (Francis deceased) Avilez, Betty (Louis) Cegers, and Joyce Burrage; brothers Johnny (Gwen), Tracy, and Jimmy (Margo) Burrage; her goddaughter Marquita Webb; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members who will forever hold her close in their hearts.
Annie's life was one of service, love, and faith. Her legacy lives on in the many people she touched, the family she adored, and the memories that will continue to bring comfort and joy.
"In accordance with Annie's wishes, she will be cremated. There will be no public service."
