Tony attended Jones Highschool and later completed JobCorp between 1978-1979. As a teenager and into adulthood Tony enjoyed being a DJ (He knew just about any song's name, artist and the year it came out ), Playing pool, dancing and Sports - Go Steelers! In the summer of 1984, he met Betty Presley of Miami, FL. They Married in 1985, later welcoming his Pride and Joy Anthony Brown Jr. Tonys greatest joy in life was being a father, in fact his son is the reason he came to love fishing. As they learned how to fish, it was also a great bonding activity for the father and son duo. Being a father was so important, that Tony often turned down opportunities to hang out with his friends if his son could not attend as well. One thing that many did not know was that Tony was a frequent giver to organizations such as the Goodwill and Salvation Army especially during Thanksgiving. This was an important cause for him to be active in after his mother took him and his siblings to dinner at the Salvation Army one year. He said it was important to help provide meals to others like the one that he and his family received. Tony was a mentor and father figure to many that he came into contact with, stepping in whenever and wherever he was needed. He was known by those that loved him as a jokester and life of the party. Anthony cherished the moments he spent with his family, but especially his grandchildren who lovingly called him NaNaNa. He loved to spend time with them by flying kites, going to eat, bowling, making brownies in the easy bake oven, video games or playing with dinosaurs and monster trucks.
