Canute Jones Obituary On March 3, 1935, a fourth child was born to Uriah and Adalma Jones on the beautiful Island of Jamaica and he was named Canute. In spite of the many struggles and challenges in his life, he reached the shores of America. He later found employment as a Janitor for the Ohio School Board, from which he was able to enjoy twenty years of retirement. He lived in Cleveland, Ohio for all his adult life. Canute later moved to Georgia, then back to Cleveland, and finally, in later life, to Florida in the Orlando area. In all his moving, he never lost his love for his favorite Caribbean cuisine and escovitch fish. Canute passed away peacefully and restfully on December 5, 2022 at 10:30 am. He is now resting, awaiting the soon return of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
