Obituary

Colin Clarke Obituary Colin Clarke was born on April 19, 1939, in Saint Joseph, Barbados to parents James Christopher Clarke and Louise Clarke. He was one of 15 children. As a youth, he learned the skill of carpentry and quickly excelled at his craft. He also grew up learning, understanding, and loving the word of God. He started doing street ministry from back home and as he got older, his passion for preaching the word of God continued. In his late twenties he set his eyes on the United States of America. In 1968 he moved from his home country to the states. His goal was to achieve the American dream of home ownership and running his own business. When he arrived, he was quickly known as the man who was a skilled carpenter as well as speaker for Christ. In his early years in the U.S., he was one of the workers that helped to build the World Trade Center (Twin Towers), remodeled the Apollo Theatre, and built & remodeled many other landmarks within the five boroughs of New York (which are still standing today). A few years after arriving to the U.S., he met his wife of 49 years (Hermine B. Clarke). They wed on 11/30/1972 and have four children together (Joy, Winsome, Diane, & Nadia). In 1992 Colin and Hermine moved to Central Florida, with their four daughters, where they have lived together until his passing. He leaves behind his wife Hermine Clarke, four daughters (Joy, Winsome, Diane, & Nadia) along with three children prior to marriage ( Kelvin Yearwood, Michael Clarke, and Judy Yearwood), step son Patrick Locke, Grand children (Kimberly Yearwood, Tariq Yearwood, Destini Yearwood, Nijel Clarke, Gabrielle Clarke, Tousaint Clarke-Rogers, Christopher Clarke, Jasmine Clarke- Campbell, Nassir Clarke, Korri Blanche Lowery, Vanessa Lowery, Naima Clarke-Harvey, Tyler Clarke-Lowery, Keisha Clarke, Maalik Clarke-Edwards, Natalia Clarke-Dawkins), and great granddaughter Hallie Roberts.
