Connie Regina Watts Ramsey was born July 2, 1957. Her parents were Lee Mitchell Watts, Sr. and Doris Bates Watts. To this union, seven children were born in which Connie was the sixth. She was born in the beautiful city of Independence, Louisiana.
At an early age, Connie accepted Christ as her personal Savior and was baptized at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church by the Reverend E. D. Burns. She was reared in Hammond, Louisiana and was educated in the Hammond public school system. Connie was a proud graduate of the Hammond High School Class of 1975. She went on to attend college in Denver, Colorado where she received her degree and worked in the medical field for several years.
Connie was married to Reginald Len Ramsey and to this union one child was born, Constance Rene' Ramsey. Constance was Connie's whole world until 2017 when she blessed Connie with the ultimate gift, the birth of her one and only grandchild, Azaria Lanay Ramsey. Connie was employed with the Colorado Department of Corrections for over twenty-five years until her retirement in 2017. She often enjoyed catering and decorating for events, softball, basketball, as well as spending quality time with family and friends. Connie was an active member of Denver Park Hill Seventh-day Adventist Church in Denver, Colorado, where she served as deaconess, Sabbath school teacher, usher, and choir member.
Legacy
Connies memories will forever be cherished in the hearts of her beloved granddaughter and the apple of her eye -Azaria Lanay Ramsey, Aurora, Colorado; four brothers - Lee (Gwen) Watts, Jr., Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Joseph Watts, Long Beach, California, Wade (Amelia) Watts, Sr., Hammond, Louisiana, and Vesta (Rita) Watts, Sr., Denver, Colorado; two sisters - Ann (Larry) Clark, Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Fannie McFadden, Hammond, Louisiana; best friend/sister - Jacqueline (Brent, Sr.) Waldon, Leesburg, Florida; four aunts - Victoria Hendricks and Catherine Ingram Childress both of Compton, California, Joyce James and Clarice Andrews both of Covington, Louisiana; three godchildren - Ashton Clark, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Meshelle Parker, Denver, Colorado, and Yolanda Knighten, Hammond, Louisiana; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends; and very special friends Zan, Roxie, Granny, Kitty, Carolyn, Charlene, Alfred, Gynn, and Azarias Village.

Connie departed this life in exchange for a blissful rest Wednesday, October 19, 2022. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter - Constance Rene' Ramsey; her parents - Lee Mitchell Watts, Sr. and Doris Bates Watts Morgan; her maternal grandparents - Wade Bates and Annie Bates Jones; her paternal grandparents - Pete and Molly Watts; five aunts - Ella Sheridan, Lillie Berry, Rosie Bell, Fannie Primus, and Mable Watkins; and three uncles - Isaiah Bates, Claude Watts, and Major Watts. May Connie Rene Watts Ramsey rest in peace until that great getting up morning!!!
