Obituary

DARICE MARIE WILLIAMS was born November 3, 1976 in Big Springs, TX to the late Peter Holden and Milagros Forbush. As a military child, Darice was fortunate to travel and live in many places around the world such as Hawaii, Japan and many states around the US. This afforded her the ability to accept many different cultures and develop a personality that we all grew to love. Though she loved many different locations, Florida stole her heart. However, Florida wasnt the only thing that captured her heart. In February 2010, Darice met the love of her life, Omar Williams Sr. Together with her 3 sons (Nathan, Vincent and Earnest), they soon became a blended family. Shortly thereafter, they would welcome their 4th son, Omar Williams Jr. into their world. The family became one when Darice and Omar wed on June 28, 2023. As an Optical Technician, Darice enjoyed what she called "healing the blind," daily at MacDonald Family Eyecare, where she truly not only worked, but became family with all she encountered. In addition to healing the blind, she also enjoyed saving the community money and finding plentiful resources by way of couponing. Her love of couponing not only provided essentials for her family, but supported the community in ways she never could have dreamed. Darice truly left an imprint on the hearts of those she helped. In December 2022, Darices health took a decline. During her short battle, she pushed through every obstacle; every treatment and every curveball thrown her way. She was a truly a force through it all and there was nothing that kept her from being present for every significant milestone along the way. No matter what she was going through internally, she fought to be ever present in the lives of all she loved. But alas, in the still of the night, on February 25, 2025, with her husband by her side, Darice found eternal rest. She has left an unforgettable imprint in the hearts of all who knew her. She will forever remain the epitome of love, laughter, strength and community. The memories she helped to create will live on forever. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband: Omar Williams Sr; her children: Nathan Hernandez, Vincent Hernandez, Earnest Hernandez and Omar Williams Jr.; 2 sisters: Gracelyn and Myla; 3 brothers: Kevin, Jeff and William; 2 sister-in-laws: Ebony (Darryn Jr) and Selena; 5 brother-in-laws: Freddie (Ebony), Steven, Travis, James, Eric (Regina) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and caring friends turned family.
