Donnamarie Hunter Obituary Donna Marie Hunter was born on June 11, 1957 to parents Monica Simpson and Caleb Greaves. She was raised in the famous Seacole Avenue where she spent the majority of her youth with her mother and sister, Barbara Bennett. She attended Oberlin High School in Lawrence Tavern in Saint Andrews, Jamaica. After completing high school, she attended Durham College to study Secretarial Science. Donna migrated to the United States in 1979 to be reunited with her beloved mother Monica Simpson, sister Barbara Bennett and Aunt Mageline Neufville all who have since passed away. She then continued her education at the American Business Institute in New York. Donna was a go getter. After graduating, she worked as an office clerk until she landed a position at the Home of the Aged Blind in Yonkers, New York and at the Hebrew nursing home as a certified nurses assistant. During the summer of 1995, Donna migrated to Spring Hill, Florida. She began working in the Insurance field with All State insurance company. She eventually opened her own successful healthcare facility to care for elderly and disabled people until she became ill with acute kidney failure. Although she was ill, she continued to be the strong willed woman that she was; she continued to work diligently to provide for her family. Donna had an infectious charisma and charm which showed everytime she entered a room. She was the life of the party to her family and friends. She was well known for throwing parties and enjoyed being in the spotlight. She was stylish, fashionable and loved to look good, as Jamaicans would say a real "Dress Puss". Donnamarie was a natural comedian who always had a clever or sarcastic message for those around her. She was an excellent cook and loved to entertain. She is survived by her children, Marvin (Nikki), Channelle, Maurice and Ryan as well as grandchildren-Nia, Naomi, Ryan, De'zyah, Rasheda and Desiree. She will be greatly missed but we have this hope that we will see her again when Jesus returns.
