Garry
Lebrun
Mar 15, 1964 — May 1, 2026
Garry Lebrun was born on March 15, 1964, in Gonaives, Haiti, to Anita Lebrun and Felix Saint Louis. At sixteen years old, he made a courageous journey to the United States, where he reunited with his mother and siblings in Boston, Massachusetts, and began his journey as a student at Medford High School. After high school, Garry's meticulous eye for detail led him to land a job as a detail technician at Walton Buick.
In 1989, Garry welcomed his firstborn son with Paula Butaro. In September 1995, he married his former wife, Yanick Nozea, a union that blessed him with three more children. As a young adult navigating life in Boston, Garry found his purpose in ministry, music, and service. He was baptized at Temple Salem Seventh-day Adventist Church, where he began his spiritual journey by serving as a deacon. He later made even greater strides toward fulfilling his destiny when he joined Philadelphie SDA French Church and served for the first time as a sound technician.
On July 4, 2000, Garry discovered his ultimate purpose when he moved his entire family to Orlando, Florida. There, his purpose, and calling were fully unleashed and fulfilled. Garry not only relocated his family but also expanded his ministry, serving Guilgal SDA Church for over 25 years, as well as organizations such as the Southeastern Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, radio stations, television stations, local businesses, and the community for more than 15 years.
Throughout his life, Garry expressed the many gifts God blessed him with. He used his hands to paint, build, and cook delicious meals; he used his voice to sing songs to the Lord with great passion and showmanship; he used his ears to hear sounds that he could mix and engineer; and he used his heart to show love to everyone around him. He was a man of honor and distinction.
Garry sang for the Lord with fervor and great presence. Before every performance, his familiar invocation—"God is good all the time, and all the time God is good"—served not as a ritual, but as a testimony. He was a dapper man who dressed with impeccable sharpness, whether stepping into a sanctuary, a studio, or simply heading to the gym. The world was his runway, and every appearance was an occasion. He understood that presentation was respect—respect for himself, for others, and for God.
To know Garry was to know joy incarnate. His sense of humor—quick, warm, and unmistakably Haitian—could disarm sorrow and summon laughter from strangers who felt like family within minutes. Family gatherings were his muse: the clatter of dominoes, the aroma of traditional dishes, the explosion of jokes and reminiscing, all anchored by his booming declaration of "Mt Tata," a phrase that requires no translation, only the understanding that it represented pure, unfiltered delight in the moment.
On Friday, May 1, 2026, Garry peacefully passed away surrounded by family and loved ones. His legacy of music, laughter, love, and unwavering faith will forever resonate through his beloved opening line: "God is good all the time, and all the time God is good."
He is survived by his children: Justin F. Lebrun (Jasmine), Tatyana Monestime (Clarence), Yasmine Lebrun, and Garry Nicholas Lebrun; his grandchildren: Grace Lynn Simmons, Bailey C-R. Lebrun, Alannah Anita Lebrun, Alesia Gina Lebrun, and Kendall Monestime; his siblings: Jacques Lebrun (Rosemarie), Marie J. Bijoux (Antoine), and Serge F. Lebrun (Carline); his nieces and nephews: Steve Lebrun, Linda Lebrun, Tiana Bijoux, Sergine Lebrun, Karl Bijoux, Vanessa Lebrun, James Lebrun, Cassandra Lebrun, Yvens Lebrun, and a vast extended family of loved ones who will carry his melodies forward.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Anita S. Lebrun; his father, Felix Saint Louis; and his brother, Jean R. Lebrun. MAY HE REST IN PEACE!
