Herald Waldon Jr Obituary Herald Nathaniel Waldon, Jr., an outstanding and remarkable man, was born at Tuomey Hospital in Sumter, South Carolina on July 7, 1955. His parents were the late Herald and Wilhelmina Waldon of Sumter, SC.. he graduated from Sumter High in 1973, after which he began his studies to become a Respriatory Therapist in Columbia, SC. Later he transferred to Calhoun Tech in Orangeburg, SC where he graduated as a Laboratory Technologist.
He married the love of his life, Doris Ann Wright of Sumter, SC., on December 21, 1975. To this union came three beautiful daughters - LaTesha, LaTonya, and LaTrese and two handsome grandsons, Deion and Kayden. Herald was a family man who loved his wife, children, grandchildren and siblings dearly.
He became a baptized member of the St. Mark Seventh-day Adventist Church, which later changed its name to Berea Seventh-day Adventist Church in Sumter, SC. Herald whole-heartedly worked for years as Elder, Head Deacon, Pathfinder Director, President of the Chamber Singers, and Audio/Video Technician of the Patmos Chapel SDA Church in Winter Park, FL. Later he served as an Elder of Solomon's Porch in Orlando, FL until his untimely death. Herald was a man after God's own heart, and he will be greatly missed.
