It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Rudis Baucom, 78, of Orlando, FL. Mary passed away at home on May 28, 2025. Mary was born on March 6, 1947, in Germany to Alex and Stella Rudis, of Latvia and Lithuania. She moved to the United States when she was 3 years old. Throughout her life, Mary embodied resilience and quiet strength. She is survived by her husband, Tom Baucom; son Christopher Baucom; daughter-in-law Cristina; grandson Alexander; son Andrew Baucom; daughter-in-law Jacqueline, and granddaughter Ariya. Mary was preceded in death by her mother Stella, father Alexander, and younger brother Dale. Mary was a dedicated teacher in the Seminole County schools for over 35 years. Her commitment to education and her students was unwavering. Mary will be remembered with love and gratitude. She leaves a legacy of grace and strength that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her zest for life and travel will be deeply missed. A memorial service will be held at a future date in Wyoming.
