In Loving Memory of Mary Virginia McKenzie

January 15, 1934 – August 26, 2025

With deep love and fond remembrance, we celebrate the life of Mary Virginia McKenzie, who passed away peacefully on August 26, 2025, at the age of 91.

Born in Reevesville, South Carolina, Mary was the beloved daughter of the late Shellie and Kimmie Summers. She worked for Orange County Public Schools as a dedicated custodian at Evans High School until her retirement and was a faithful member of Mt. Sinai SDA Church, where she served in the Community Service Program for many years.

Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Stanley N. McKenzie, and her grandson, Stephen McKenzie Jr. She is survived by her children Ricky Summers, Don McKenzie (Vel), Steve McKenzie (Carlotta), and Carolyn Fields; grandchildren Damien Robinson, Ashley Johnson(Joseph), Carlette McKenzie, Stephanie McKenzie, Patrick McKenzie, and Bridgette McKenzie; and her great-granddaughter, Ava McKenzie.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at Mt. Sinai SDA Church in Orlando, FL. Viewing begins at 10:00 a.m., followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Orlando Memorial Gardens.

Mary will be remembered for her kind heart, unwavering faith, and the countless lives she touched.
