Mrs. Barbara Snyder Obituary Mrs. Barbara M. Snyder, age 77 of Osteen, Florida, passed away on April 5, 2014. Her parents were the late Herbert and Alice Giddens of Osteen, Florida. Barbara was married to George Snyder for almost 61 years, and according to him, she was his "best friend and only wife." Barbara worked for General Dynamics for over 30 years and then retired. She was a dedicated and awesome employee. Everyone knew her for her integrity and kindness to others Barbara also loved working in her vegetable and flower gardens; using her gift of sewing to make clothes for her children when they were young; bird watching; listening to music and singing. But most importantly, she loved greeting members and visitors at her church - Calvary Baptist. Making them feel welcomed brought her so much joy! Barbara was preceded in death by her parents - Herbert & Alice Giddens. She leaves to cherish her memory - George, her husband of almost 61 years; Children - Bobbye Jo (Burr) and Elizabeth (Robert); Siblings - Olivia (John), Herbert (Mary Lou), Estelle, Lee (Linda) and Martha (Ted); Grandchildren - Maria, Micki, Jamie, Robert and Amanda; Great-Grandchildren - Ashtyn, Tyler, Taylor, Madeline, Ella Grace, Breanna, Andrea and Grady; One uncle, one aunt and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Barbara M. Snyder, a remarkable lady and child of God, will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
