Obituary

Mrs. Lucille Francis-Fuller Obituary Lucille Elorine Francis-Fuller, affectionately known as "Mummy," was born in Portland, Jamaica to Theophilus and Rebecca Francis on May 26, 1937. Lucille was educated at Kingsway High School, Mico Teachers College, Barry University and Nova University. However, the many roles she played in the lives of many were numerous. Lucille was no ordinary woman. She was a Servant of God, Mother, Wife, Colporteur, Teacher, Principal, Counselor, Master Folklore Storyteller for the Florida Department of State Bureau of Florida Folklife Programs Division of Historical Resources, Housekeeper, Preacher, TV Host, Developer and Producer for 'Just the Way It Was,' an Evangelist, a CNA and a Philanthropist. Lucille's dedication and love to her family stretched beyond her relatives. At every turn she was always willing to open her heart and her doors to anyone in need of an ear, a meal, a shoulder, and especially a shelter for a minute or even a few years. As a person who appreciated words and respected tradition, she always lived by and shared words of wisdom such as: 'Anything stay too long serves two masters'; 'Nothing beat a fail but a try'; 'Once a task has begun, never leave it till it's done, be the labor great or small, do it well or none at all'; 'Do all the good you can, in all the world you can, for all the people you can, for as long as you can'; and 'Great minds think alike and fools seldom differ.' With enthusiasm for the cause of Christ, Lucille served her church. She served as Sabbath School Superintendent, Personal Ministry Leader, Children's Storyteller and Community Service Leader. She was also instrumental in the establishment of Rockhall SDA Church in St. Andrew, Jamaica and a pioneer of Fort White Mission and Columbia City SDA Churches. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents (Theophilus & Rebecca), Son (Asher) and Granddaughter (Kamika). She leaves to cherish her memory Percival A. Fuller, her husband of 49 beautiful years; Brother - Joseph; Children - Andrew (Lorellys), Audy (Mark), Mark Fuller, Annie (J.T.), Antoinette (Nathaniel III), and Sophia "Wu-Wuff"; Grandchildren - Camille, Paula, Anthoney, Jasmin, Anhalise, Neriah, Nathaniel IV, Alyssa, Jared, Anndersn and Josiah; Great-Grandchild - Khalil and a host of relatives and friends who will miss her greatly!
