Ms. Violeta Payne Obituary Ms. Violeta Valentina Payne, age 80, of Apopka, Florida, passed away on October 6, 2014. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Violeta Nunez Valentina was born on November 9, 1933 in the village of La Romana, Dominican Republic. Daughter of Don Pelayo Alfao and Vidalina Nunez , Violeta was raised to the vicinity of Ingenio Cayen . At an early age, Violeta went to live with her aunt, Ofelia Valeiron in Santo Domingo where he spent most of her youth. Violeta discovered her love of singing during these years and her talent was noticed by directors of the National Radio in Santo Domingo where frequently sang in the musical radio program at noon. During the 1954 Violeta moved to New York in the United States where she married Alfredo DeJesus and became the mother of her only daughter, Vilma DeJesus. After this marriage Violeta met and married Mr. Pedro Payne and together they had two sons, Alvin Payne and Pedro Payne (Peter). It was during this time that Violeta learned of the Adventist message by a neighbor who visited and handed her a copy of the magazine The Sentinel. Since then the life of Violeta changed and engaged in the full service of Jesus. There were many people who were blessed by the beautiful smile of Violeta and her love for children. Violeta was also known for its delicious cakes, and her love of singing and her soprano voice feature . Always active in her local church, Violeta reflected her supreme love above all things - her love for God! Violeta is survived by her children Alvin and Peter Payne.
