Ronald “Ronnie” Aarts

1947–2026

We are saddened to announce that Ronnie passed away peacefully at his home in Winter Garden, Florida, on July 11, 2026.

Born in Heusden, Holland, Ronnie immigrated to Canada with his family in 1951. He was the son of the late John and Mary (Van Bussel) Aarts.

Beloved brother of the late Frank (Anna), Anne, Tony (the late Jo-Ann), Bill (Sandra), the late Albert (Joan), Paul (Brenda), the late Catherine, Jerry (Mary), the late John, and Mary-Anne Pratt (Mike). Fondly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends in Canada, Florida, and overseas.

Ronnie spent most of his adult life in Florida, where he was a self-employed contractor who generously shared his skills to help others. He had a passion for gardening and took great pride in creating beautiful outdoor spaces. Although he made his home in Florida, he remained closely connected to his Canadian roots and cherished winter visits with family and friends.

Cremation has taken place. There is no visitation or funeral service.
