SCOTT HINES Obituary Scott Steven Hines, age 76, passed away February 4, 2024. He was born in Lancaster, Ohio on October 1, 1947, to Logan Moore Hines II and Eileen Virginia Castle Hines. Logan and Eileen moved from Denver, Colorado earlier in 1947 with Logan III, Susan, and Anne. Before starting high school, Scott attended Valley Forge Military Academy in Wayne, Pennsylvania for two years. After graduation from Lancaster High School in 1965, Scott worked as a guard at the Lancaster Boys Industrial School and as a deputy for the Lancaster Fairfield County Sheriff Dan Berry. Scott moved to Florida in the early 1970s. After living in Orlando for a few years, He joined the Orange County Sheriffs Office as a deputy. He was later promoted to detective criminal investigations, ending his 35-year career in law enforcement as a detective in the major crimes unit for the Florida State Attorney. After retirement and while living in Sanford, Scott worked at Auto Nation USA for several years. Scott was blessed with, and is survived by, a daughter Ashley Elizabeth Hines Biskey (George); his son - Tyler Scott Hines (Gwyneth); his grandchildren, all of Virginia - Bettie, Clover, Penelope, River, Logan, Emme, Winston, and Wyatt; his wife and best friend- Paula Masselli Hines survives him and will continue to reside in Apopka with her daughter - Jill, her son Vinnie; her grandson Jordan; along with their true and loyal neighbor and friend - John Reed; his sister - Susan Butler of Pawleys Island, South Carolina; his nieces - Marlene and Sherri; and his nephews - Logan and Duncan. Greeting him in a joyous heavenly reunion are Scotts father (Logan) and mother (Eileen), his brother (Logan), his sister (Anne) and all who passed before him. May our beautiful Scott rest in PEACE.
