WILLIAM DEMONT GILCHRIST, JR. Obituary It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved son, William Gilchrist Jr., on August 31, 2024. Intelligent, fun-loving, and carefree, William brought joy and laughter to everyone who knew him. His quirky sense of humor and warm personality made him a bright light in the lives of all who crossed his path. William will be greatly missed by his devoted family: survived by his father and mother - William Sr. and DonnAndrea; his brother - Kyrii; his sister - Amariah; along with great grandparents - Elvira Lee, Emily Knox, and Kenneth Louis; grandparents - Sharlena Herrod, Kimberly Lee, Donald and Tina Brooks; aunts - Donnesha Brooks, Kimmesha Lussier, and Elizabeth Brooks; uncles - Andre Gilchrist, Pharaoh Brooks, Chris Morris, Darren Morris, and David Morris; as well as several other family members, friends, and so many others who have blessed our lives. He is preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Emory Lee. William attended Apopka High School. He enjoyed learning little-known facts and telling silly puns. He also enjoyed soccer, video games, and spending time with close friends. His memory will forever live on in our hearts, and our love for him will never fade. Though he is no longer with us in body, Williams spirit will continue to guide and inspire us. Rest in peace, William. We love you more than words can express. Please join us on September 29th from 1:00pm-3:00pm at the Northwest Recreational Complex for Williams Celebration of Life, which will be held at soccer field PAD #13. We welcome all who knew and loved William to come together to honor his memory by enjoying some of his favorite foods and activities.
