Darrell was my teacher and awarded me the course directors award. I just found out about his passing and wanted to leave my condolences. He was a great guy and it is sad to hear about his passing. I keep the family in my prayers.

I am so very sorry to lose you Darrell. You had a beautiful mind and kind heart.
We reached for the stars and somehow found them in our work together. I will miss you always and the only comfort I feel now is that I will see you again my friend, once again gazing upon the stars.
My sincere sympathy for all of Darrell's family, friends and students.
We will all miss this great man.
