Ida Williams Obituary

IDA SELENA WILLIAMS was born on November 11, 1949 in Miami, Florida to the late Armister Lee Robinson and Mae Rose Williams. While in Miami, she received her high school diploma from Miami Jackson High School and later matriculated to Florida Memorial College where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resource Management. Ida is also an Advanced Licensed Practical Nurse and has been working in the medical arena for the past 32+ years. She served our Country as a Financial Specialist in the United States Army and most recently graduated from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition as a Holistic Health Practitioner.

In 1974, Ida relocated to Atlanta, Georgia and became acquainted with the late Freddie James Williams, Sr. and his four sons, whom soon became her own. They were joined in holy matrimony on November 12, 1975 and were blessed with five children. They relocated to Savannah, Georgia where they lived for 13 years and then moved to Orlando, Florida, which became their permanent home.

Ida's walk with God began in 1995 and blossomed into a beautiful relationship for the duration of her life. She dedicated her life to serving Yah and spreading His truth to those in her life.
Armed with a cheerful spirit and a genuine love for people, Ida wasily stole the hearts of those she met. She could be found teaching health classes, doing health fairs, or fussing about the nutrition choices of her peers. Ida loved to eat healthy, take morning walks on the trail, giving advice, decorating and traveling. But above all, she loved spending every summer with her children and grandchildren.

In August 2019, Ida's health began to rapidly decline. During her short battle, though it was tough, Ida's faith never wavered. In fact, Ida's faith grew stronger as she knew Yah would take good care of her no matter the outcome. In her final moments, she had one simple request of her children, "hold my hand." At the rising of the sun, on November 17, 2019, she exchanged life on earth for rest with her Maker, the One who loved her the most. She has left an unforgettable impression on the minds and hearts of all who looked to her for laughter, friendship, nutritional guidance, spiritual direction, or general advice on life. Ida will be sorely missed, but never forgotten!

Ida Selena Williams leaves to cherish her memory: her children - Freddie Jr. (Ebony), Steven, Travis, James, Ebony (Darryn Sr.), Omar, Eric (Regina), and Selena (Artrayvious); two sisters - Brenda and Sheryl;  one brother-in-law - Jesse (Elaine); twelve grandchildren; two adopted sons - Thomas Spencer and Richard St. Preux; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and caring friends turned family.
