Ilervil Francois

Ilervil Francois was born on January 16th, 1940 to the late Mirac Saint Francois and the late Camilla Danma in La Gonave, Haiti. He grew up on the beautiful island with his siblings Andre, Dieu Fils, Gabriel, and Lericia Francois. 

Ilervil graduated from Wesleen Aleginie Nancipa. In 1960, he married the love of his life Lorecil Laurant. While in Haiti, Ilervil successfully cultivated farm land to care for his family. He migrated to the United States in 1980, in search of an opportunity for a better life for him and his family. He was a resident of Orlando, Florida for over 20 years. He worked for Marriott for 28 years and retired in 2015. He accepted Jesus as his lord and savior and has been a faithful member of Beracah Seventh-Day Adventist church for 7 years.

To the family, friends, and people who knew him, Ilervil was known by Papa. He was everyone’s grandpa. He was a God-fearing man who loved his family without measure. He was very present in his children’s lives and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He served as a deacon in the church. He enjoyed watching the youth choir of his church perform and always made sure he had single dollar bills to give to the young children sabbath morning so they could participate in offering.

On November 7, 2020, after suffering multiple strokes, Ilervil Francois passed away at Advent Health Hospital Orlando. He leaves behind his wife, Lorecile Francois; his children, Elercia Francois, Obede Francois, Ruth Francois, Lassone Francois, Violette Francois, Fidel Francois, Yvon Francois, Edithe Francois, Nise Francois, Marie-Lourde Francois; his grandchildren Makenson, Caroline, Helen, Katylove, Jeanrenaud, Wildod, Macgrophe, Bernard, Naomi, Antonise, Junior, Manouche, Jean Pierre, Jean Richard, Jean Marc, Schnider, Loveson, Winder, Marie Olnite, Tania, Jeff, Linda, Farrah, Adams, Kenneth, Kathleen, Valerie, Juliette, Mackendy, Marvin, Elsea, Derrick, Sephora, Bilha, Archelie, Joasch, Aser, Joanna, Phoebe, Heather, Khalia, Lucille, Cindy, Joshua, Ruth; his great grandchildren Sarai, Leila, Aleah, Wide, Marvenski, Gideon, Enakai Love, Steve, Donwenson, Katioli, Jovenski, Anchise, Weedly, Joey, Nave, Mande, Eliah, Woodsander, Woodbergine; along with a host of other loving relatives that will miss him dearly.
