Jenelle L Walkes

Jenelle L. Walkes was a precious daughter and a  loving mother and sister.  We have many fond memories of her love for life and for family and friends. It is with deepest sympathy that we mourn her departure.

Jenelle was born on July 24, 1979 to Norma and the late Norman Walkes, and she entered into her eternal resting place on January 13, 2016. She was born in the Bronx, and went to St. Hehena School. Jenelle  worked for 32 BJ Union as an organizer. She later went to Everest University to pursue a diploma to become a medical administrative assistant.

Jenelle enjoyed good conversation; she loved  cooking, traveling, shopping and entertaining. She unconditionally loved the Lord and was an  inspiration to her family, friends and strangers. Jenelle was well loved because of the way she kept the family together. She had a zest for life, and she lived it to the fullest.

Jenelle is survived by her loving mother-Norma; son-Daiquan; daughter-Siara; brothers-Wayne, Greg, and Linus; Cindy, Apple, Debbie, Shanell and a host of nieces and nephews. She also leaves to mourn her passing Orlando and his mother, Carmen, his sister and brother; and many special friends and acquaintances who will remember her friendship, generosity and kindness.

Our dear Jenelle will be greatly missed, for words cannot express what we will forever feel without her.  May she rest in peace  Jenelle, we love you!
