My friend sis Lily
The first time I met Sis Lily I was greeting at the door of our church and she found out it was my birthday and later bought me a plant. Our relationship blossomed from there: we became good friends and sat together in church for about 8 years.
During my husbands illness she was a source of encouragement reminding me of what a great job I was doing as I cared for him until his passing.
She also reminded me of the importance of socializing by encouraging me to get out the house. She would even take me to breakfast and lunch at times. I also recall the beautiful Christmas and Thanksgiving I had the privilege of celebrating at her home. Everything was done so nicely.
After I stopped driving, I would be waiting for my ride after service and she would never leave me until my ride came, and sometimes even offered to drive me herself.
We spoke every week over the phone even up to the week prior to her passing. Whenever I called she answered, even during the times she was hospitalized. Pandemic, nor distance kept us from connecting.
We spoke about life's happenings, and family. However, whatever the conversation she was sure to end with a quote from the Bible. She was a woman of God and of prayer. She had such a good heart, and she was a good friend to me. I love and miss her very much. I know that she was a good christian and I look forward to seeing her when Jesus comes again.
To all her family I extend my deepest sympathies. Please rest assure we will see her again, once we are faithful to God.

Love,
Enez Grandison
