Ruby B. King passed away on September 15, 2020 in Sanford, Florida. She was born in Johnson City, Tennessee, on July 3, 1927 to Doze and Ada Branum. She lived much of her life in Indianapolis and moved to Florida in 1966. Ruby was a volunteer Foster Grandparent for many years, working with special needs children in the Sanford schools. Ruby was a lifelong Elvis fan and enjoyed collecting just about everything. She was an official member of the Monacan Indian Nation.
Ruby was preceded in death by her sons Barrett Thomas and Ricky Lynn, and daughter Mickey Diane. She is survived by her son Jerry King of Greenfield, Indiana, daughter Kathy King of Sanford, Florida, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held from 1:00-1:30, September 18th with the Funeral service immediately following at the Salvation Army Chapel, 700 W 24th street, Sanford, Florida.
