Sabrina Mosby Obituary

Sabrina Yvette Mosby entered this world in 1966, born to Carrie and the late Bernice Frazier on December 29th, in Jacksonville, Florida.  She was one half of a pair of twin girls. Her sister preceded her in death as a baby. Sabrina later became the beloved big sister of Samuel Williams.

Sabrina migrated to New York City and attended Hillcrest High School.  She gave birth to four children: one beautiful daughter whom she held in her arms as she transitioned to heaven, and three handsome sons. Her sons are Tyrone Frazier, Terrence Chavis and Tyrell Greene. In New York City she also met the love of her life – her husband, Tyra Mosby.

Sabrina then migrated to Virginia where she was able to create lasting memories with her oldest son, Tyrone Frazier, his wife, Theadene Frazier and her granddaughters. There, Sabrina completed the Medical Assistant Program at Everest College, and worked as an Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist.

In 2018, Sabrina migrated to Orlando, Florida with her husband Tyra, to live closer to her two younger sons, Terrence Chavis and Tyrell Greene and granddaughters. Sabrina fought gracefully for 3 years after being diagnosed with cancer and went peacefully to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 18, 2021.

Sabrina would want all her loved ones to know, starting with her mother, Carrie, “I am always near and you will continue to feel my love and my presence.”

To the love of her life, her husband Tyra, she would say “I thank you for honoring our vows and standing beside me through sickness and in health until death parted us in the flesh, although we will never be parted in spirit.” To her brother and first best friend, Samuel Williams, she would say, “Thank you for always being my protector and confidant, and I want you to have peace knowing that I am now your guardian angel.” To her sister-in-love, Tabitha she would say, “Thank you for being by my side and always supporting my sons and me.” To her oldest son Tyrone, she would say, “Thank you for always motivating me and being there for me, while giving me the encouragement and love to fight on and live my best life. Well done, Son!”  To her middle son, Terrence, she would say, “You were my rock and my shoulder to cry on, and I thank you for always standing by my side. I’m proud of you, Son.”

To her youngest son, Tyrell, she would say, “I am so proud of the man that you are becoming. Keep up the good work and continue to grow each day. Know this – I’ll always be watching over you.”

To her daughters-in-love, Shade Chavis and Theadene Frazier, she would say, “I thank you both for loving my boys the way you do, and for creating my five little heartbeats – my beautiful granddaughters,  Tay-tay, Sam, Sariah, Leah and Yanni.  You ladies filled my heart and world with so much joy.”

Sabrina Mosby leaves to mourn her mother, Carrie Williams, her husband, Tyra Mosby, her son Tyrone Frazier and his wife, Theadene Frazier, her son Terrence Chavis and his wife, Shade Chavis, her son Tyrell Greene, her stepsons Justin and Jason Mosby, her stepdaughter Shante Mosby, her brother Sam Williams and sister-in-law, Tabitha Williams, her nephews Nyshiem Williams and Sam Williams, her niece Samiyah Williams, her grandchildren Tylathea, Leah, Tyanna, Samyra and Sariah, and many more extended family members and friends, including honorary sons that she adored and loved with her whole heart.  Sabrina conveyed a deep sense of gratitude to you all, for motivating her and encouraging her throughout her life’s journey. Her final thoughts for all of us would be:

“Remember me in your hearts, and never forget the memories we shared. The times we cried, the battles I fought, and all the ways you cared. For if you always think of me, then I will always be near.”
