Shawn B Hendrickson

Shawn Brant Hendrickson, age 55 of Lake Mary, Florida, passed away at his home on November 22, 2016 from a cerebral vascular event and hypertension.

Shawn was born September 4, 1961 in St. Paul, Minnesota and sailed with his parents and brother to Indonesia at the age of 2 1/2. His education was at the Grade School in Bandung, Indonesia. He completed high school in 1980 at Dalat School in Penang, Malaysia.  After working on a farm in Iowa for one year, he studied at Crown College in Minnesota for the next year. 

After moving to Florida, Shawn worked over twenty-five years as a machinist in the Central Shops at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida until the time of his death.  His co-workers can attest to his skilled craftsmanship.

He is survived by his two sons; Deric and Kyle Hendrickson; grandson, Cedric; parents - Craig and Beverly Hendrickson; brother, Eric Hendrickson; and sister, Heidi Vernon.

Shawn loved fishing whether through the ice in Minnesota or on the lakes and lagoons in Florida.  His motorcycle almost took his life in 2012, but God was not ready to take him HOME.  He had a funny, entertaining spirit as well, which everyone enjoyed. 

Shawn was not hesitant to talk about his Savior, Jesus.  He is now conversing directly with the Risen Christ, and is waiting for us all to be together again.  May he rest in peace.
